The order of adding raw materials when mixing refractory materials:

First, moisten the refractory material (such as quartz, zircon sand, etc.) with a small amount of water.

Add the fluxing material (such as borax, lead oxide, potassium nitrate, etc.), stir, mix, and sieve.

Add the other raw materials and mix thoroughly to ensure the surface of the refractory material is fully coated with flux, promoting the formation of a eutectic at a lower temperature, achieving rapid and complete melting.

The method or order of adding materials with a dosage of less than 3-5 (wt)% is as follows: In dry mixing, if each raw material is added one by one, it will cause clumping upon contact with moisture or localized concentration, resulting in uneven mixing and a reduced proportion, leading to greater errors.
