When storing and handling chemicals, applicable regulations and standards must be followed. Ensure storage areas are dry, well-ventilated, and away from sources of fire and heat.

Currently, geopolitical events are significantly impacting global chemical raw material transportation networks. For example, in 2026, due to conflict in the Strait of Hormuz region, major shipping companies suspended or detoured around the Cape of Good Hope, leading to longer routes, increased freight rates, and the activation of alternative logistics hubs such as Durban, South Africa. This presents new challenges to the efficiency, cost, and stability of the global chemical raw material logistics network.

The choice of transportation methods for dangerous goods is primarily based on their physicochemical properties. Transportation companies must possess material safety data sheets for the products. Solid chemical raw materials are generally transported using flatbed trucks, while gaseous raw materials require pressurized cylinders or pressure tanks. The transportation of liquid raw materials is highly temperature-dependent. High-viscosity materials are typically drummed and transported using flatbed trucks or insulated tank trucks. Chemicals with viscosity close to water, low vapor pressure, and no corrosiveness can be transported using ordinary atmospheric pressure tank trucks, while corrosive products require stainless steel tank trucks.
