Ceramic frit is one of the main raw materials for glazes and a key factor determining the quality of the glaze surface. Ceramic frit is a composite raw material in the form of crushed glass granules or flakes, obtained by mixing glaze raw materials in a certain proportion, melting and clarifying them at high temperature in a furnace, and then rapidly cooling the molten glass through a water bath or water-cooled metal rollers. Melting glaze raw materials into ceramic frit has the following advantages:

The high-temperature chemical reactions that occur during the melting process convert some toxic raw materials into non-toxic ones, and simultaneously transform soluble raw materials into insoluble glass, increasing the range and functionality of glaze raw materials.

It significantly reduces the reaction temperature and time during the firing process, which is beneficial for improving glaze quality and enabling low-temperature, fast-firing processes.

As a flux, it allows for convenient adjustment of the operating temperature of the base white glaze and colorants.
