Forming the Ceramic Body: The process of forming the ceramic body includes mixing, shaping, and drying. First, raw materials such as clay and kaolin are mixed in a specific ratio, and water is added to create a slurry. Then, the ceramic body is formed using molds or by hand. After shaping, the body needs to be dried for a certain period to remove excess moisture.
Glazing: The dried body is then immersed in or sprayed with glaze. During glazing, the glaze needs to be evenly applied to the surface of the body to ensure a smooth and uniform glaze layer after firing.
Firing: The glazed body is fired in a high-temperature kiln, typically between 1000℃ and 1300℃. At this high temperature, the glaze melts to form a glassy coating that bonds tightly to the ceramic substrate. Temperature control and firing profiles during firing significantly affect the quality and color stability of the glaze layer.
